…When it is my turn, I go into the stall and take care of business. The water in the toilet is blue. The technician labels my urine, then turns to me and says, “Good Luck.” It startled me. I had watched her process the samples she took from the other three women: she did not wish any of them “Good Luck.” The only difference I could see is that I am Black.
