Many years ago, I owned a Honda Fit. My wife and I were driving to the movies while blasting The Weekend.

We turned a bend and laying on the road was a deer. It had already been hit. There was a truck to my left and a barrier to my right. I had no choice to run over it. My car frog-hopped up in the air and landed, smoke coming from the hood.

The deer somehow survived. But it did not survived the pickup truck with the lift. It was large and tall enough to drive over the deer, and the driver had the time to alter his path. Instead, he adjusted his angle and accelerated. The deer was bisected and finally passed.

That night stays with me.
