An idea floating in my mind, and something I want to write about more deeply, is the connect between how Netflix subsidizes controversy. Like, can Netflix afford the blowback from Dave Chapelle because Squid Game is so profitable? And what does that say that Netflix is banking on one intellectual property made by one minority group to subsidize conflict that another property created by a Black man?
